KFC Advertises in Space But Will Let Your Kid Wet His Pants.
I was browsing for advertising budgets on the websites of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and parent company, YUM!, when I stumbled across a press release stating that, in 2006, KFC had created a logo that could be seen from space. That is the perfect backdrop against which to measure the front-line actions of KFC employees I recently experienced.

I needed some translations done. I called around, and Slav-Tours was the closest to me in proximity (yet still about 1/2h drive). They told me that they open at 9:30 am and to come with the documents anytime, to leave them and they'll get them done for me. Sounded exactly what I was looking for. When I got there at 10:00 am a few weeks back, nobody was there! A few minutes later a cab pulled up and a lady came up to Slav-Tours, opening the doors, apologizing for her tardiness. Mild BMO Incompetence
Well, it happened again. Like my previous entries on banks, I had to deal with one and was unimpressed. I wanted to pay my line of credit with a check from another bank. Balance was about $9900 and I had received the bill a week earlier. I ask the teller only two very simple questions:
Vets always make me feel guilty
Every year I need to get vaccinations for my two dogs (actually, that's what the vets say, I actually don't know which shots are needed, and which are just money makers for them). I never mind going - my dogs are especially well behaved, and always very healthy, so there is nothing to worry about. But after I go, I remember the guilty feeling of last year, and the previous years.
IKEA - the place for rainy days with kids
For the last few days, we've been having terrible weather. For a break to the house monotony, the kids and I set out to IKEA. I love IKEA to begin with, but when you have kids, then IKEA day is a whole new kind of FUN day.
Videotron is Solid
Just a little post to recommend Videotron for a cable service provider. I have moved a few times and tried different sources of TV from rabbit-ears to satellite. I'm happy with Videotron.
