I think most of us know or have heard of the wicked low promotional interest rates that credit card companies send.  The notice goes something like this:

The news just came out a few days ago that cell carrier Telus started a service for soft-core porn video and images right to your phone for a monthly subscription.  The backlash was quick and Telus soon backed down, even though thousands of users had subscribed to the service.

Compton Petroleum Corporation has contracted Land Quest to seismic testing in the Porcupine Hills,south west of Nanton. It is a great danger that this seismic activity could destroy very sensitive underground system of streams and springs, which is only source of water for humans and animals in the area of this hills and Nanton( 2000 residents).

Bank of Montreal does it again:  I got a letter from BMO telling me that they were going to raise the rate of my unsecured line of credit.  No reason was given.  It looked simply like a mass insert that was probably sent with everyone's monthly statement.

Today I found myself in Winnipeg, Canada, which just so happens to be where the restaurant of the Best Chef in Canada is. A couple of friends and I decided to try Gluttons. Makoto Ono had just finished winning the Gold Medal Plates award that year. Very excited, prepared for the high price tag, and a bit worried we were under-dressed, we found the place and sat down.

Just a wierd thing that happened to me today.  Went to the Budget car rental counter and asked for mid-size or small car while flashing my FastPass.  The person behind the counter told me there were none available, only an SUV for $90/day.  So I went around the corner and called my company travel agency, which proceeded to book me a small car.
