Just a little warning to check your bill over at Budget Car Rentals.  I have to say that normally I find Budget to be a decent outfit.  This particular time I rented a car for one day in Toronto and upon returning it I noticed an approximately $25 fueling surcharge.  I never buy the fueling option, preferring to fill it myself so I asked them why they added that charge.

Their answer was, "Because you drove it for so few kilometers we automatically add the fueling charge.  Did you fuel it?"

I used to be a big-time apologist for Subaru. I have a 1999 and the car has lasted and performed great. It currently has 190K on it and nothing too major has gone wrong but there are a couple of annoyances:

Last year we built a retaining wall.  For it we needed river rocks, gravel and cement.  The place that we used and were very happy with was Laniel Prodamex (what a wierd name).  We tried Rona, Home Depot, Reno Depot, and yet this company was the best for our needs.  Great products, best price, best service, great delivery (I think it was free for delivery).  All I had to do was go and choose the rocks that suited our wall (river rocks are all different, so I had to actually pick the ones I liked), and then the rest was done by the handy Laniel Prodamex workers.  Next time I wil

Blockbuster has this promotion where you can take your old DVDs and they'll give you at least $5 store credit for each one.  Since my husband loves to buy "previously viewed" DVDs at Blockbuster or Rogers Video, or anywhere he can find them, we have collected quite a few.  To take advantage of the promotion at Blockbuster, we chose 35 of our precious DVDs to return (we probably got rid of 1/3 of our DVD collection), and the lovely ladies at Blockbuster only couldn't accept 5 of them (three didn't have their original case and two were not in their catalogue).  This g

Okay I am not an audio/video aficionado BUT I had to post this about Monster Cables.  I have always walked by them in the store calling them overpriced, I mean who can really tell the difference?
