Canada Post mails me a $1.04 courtesy card
The other day my utility company mailed me an informational type letter and did not put a stamp on it. To my surprise the letter was still delivered but Canada Post had attached a "$1.04 Postage Due" card.
"With this card you received mail that was sent without enough postage. To avoid delay and inconvenience, the amount due was not collected at the time of delivery. Please affix the postage on the other side of this card to cover the amount due, and mail the card. Your postmaster".

This story happened a couple of years ago by now, but I still remember it often. My friends from Calgary made the 3 hour drive to visit me in Edmonton. We decided to go to a restaurant on Whyte Ave called Continental Treats. My wife craved their European food to remind her of momma.
Denny's At Night Is Bleh
I'm working the night shift so my meal times are all screwed up. I wanted some grub at about 11pm tonight with my family. We hit Denny's because it is about the only sit-down place open on a Monday night.
Denny's is no gourmet restaurant but they should have done better. Below average service is understandable near midnight but here are the things that won't get me back there:
